For many years he was one of the finest of its kind in northern Europe. Artus many manors were created throughout Europe and especially in the cities of the Hanseatic League, a meeting place for wealthy patricians, merchants and craftsmen on the model of the legendary Round Table of King Arthur's knights. After a fire built in the XIV century the building became the present shape in 1477, the facade was rebuilt by Abraham van den Blocke. Representative interior of the mansion is huge, to 12 m high tiled stove, the work of George Stelzenera the mid-XVI century, decorated with tiles painted by the master Jost, which presented portraits of prominent European rulers, emblems and personifications of virtues and planets. Arthur's Court is part of the Gdańsk History Museum.
